Harassment and online abuse
Known as Cyber bullying, it can happen via text, email, on social networks and gaming platforms. It affects children and adults, which comprises of threats, manipulation, radicalisation and even grooming.
Threatened or Physically Attacked
Any act in which a person is abused, threatened, intimidated or assaulted is a crime and needs to be reported. Assault covers a range of actions, from using threatening words to a severe physical attack that leaves the victim vulnerable and even visibly disabled.
Damage caused to public or private property
A person who, without lawful excuse, destroys or damages any property belonging to another, with the intent to destroy or damage any such property or being reckless as to whether said property would be destroyed or damaged shall be guilty of an offence.
Discrimination at: School, Work, College, Business or Place of Worship
There are known factors and they consist of the following: who’s treating you unfairly? Why are you being treated unfairly? What’s the unfair treatment and how is the treatment unfair or what type of discrimination is it?
Hate Mail by Post, Email or Social Media
It is a form of harassment, usually consisting of invective and potentially intimidating or threatening comments towards the person. Sometimes it can be political or racist as well as sexual.
Targeted on Public Transport and Shops
Anti- social behaviour can be a real deterrent to using public transport or in shops. Most commonly associated with rowdy behaviour, using offensive or threatening language, being drunk, discriminating by race and religion, look and disability. Bullying can happen anywhere – including at school, at work, online.
